Policies & Code of Ethics

***By scheduling an appointment, you both acknowledge and agree to these policies, including our 24 hour change/cancellation policy.***

Appointments

All sessions are by appointment only. You may call/text, email or book online. All appointments will be sent a confirmation notice in the form of a phone message, text or email, once the appointment has been made.

Appointments may require a credit card to hold the reservation. Please see the change/cancellation policy for further inquiry.

Payment

Full payment is due at the time of service and may be paid by cash, check, or credit card. There will be a $25.00 fee on returned checks.

Prices are subject to change at any time.

Change/Cancellation of Appointments

We understand that life can be busy and things don't always go as planned. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we will do our best to accommodate if given sufficient notice. Please understand that our time is limited and we are generally booked in advance. There is no charge for cancellations received at least 24 hours in advance. If you must cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged for the full session. If you have a prepaid package, you may be charged one of the prepaid sessions. Any "no shows" will be charged the full amount for the missed appointment.

Statement of Policy

As Certified/Licensed Massage Therapists (CMTs/LMTs) and Bodyworkers, we follow the Code of Ethics set forth by the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and the California Massage Therapy Council (CMATC). All information provided, both written and verbally, will be held strictly confidential in accordance with state and federal law.

It is imperative to understand that as CMTs/LMTs, we work within our scope of practice. Services provided are not a replacement for medical care, should not be construed as a substitute for a medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment, that no medical diagnosis will be made, and that you should see a medical provider for any medical issues you may have. It is your responsibility to notify the practitioner of any pre-existing conditions, limitations, or specific sensitivities as well as any changes with your medical history since the previous visit.

There may be situations when we believe you should consult a physician, or other healthcare provider, before receiving massage. In such a case, we will explain the situation and why we feel the consultation is necessary. If appropriate, we may refer you to a medical professional when we feel you may benefit from a particular area of expertise.

Inappropriate or illegal conduct will not be tolerated in any manner. We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue a service if it determines such service may be unsafe or cause discomfort to you or the practitioner.  Full payment will still be collected.

Late Appointments

Your appointment time begins as scheduled. If you are running late, please take a moment to contact us. It is important for us to respect the appointment time of all clients. If you are running late, we may have to cut your appointment short, but will still expect payment for the full scheduled session. If you are more than 15 minutes late without contacting us, you will be considered a "no show."
